Livin' Venti: Loving God Richly, Loving People Deeply

I choose to be Livin' Venti, as the life we have been given, is too short to live small.  With the time given I desire to be loving God richly and loving people deeply.

Jesus said that the second greatest commandment was to "love your neighbor as yourself." (Matt 22:39)  But we are often so busy, self absorbed, or unaware.  Honestly, we sometimes haven't thought about how our greatest missions field is already right between our own two feet.

Currently, I'm in the middle of working on a capstone project for my Master's in Christian Studies.  I've started this blog to help process through my research into the theological content and the practical implications on how we can live out this second commandment in today's busy post-modern society.

With around 3 new posts a week I look forward to entering into discussions with others, hearing people's reactions, questions and comments.  I know that we will not all agree, but with respect and love I hope we can have a good conversation.

So grab that Venti Non-Fat Pumpkin Spice Latte and join me as we process what it means to be Livin' Venti.

  2. I'm having a venti chai latte and want to share (one of) my resolution for 2011: Give God praise continuously during the day. Phil. 4:4-9 And His peace will be with you! To some people I sound like I'm muttering to myself...well I am...but when you "praise God" for a situation, it gets turned around. So keep muttering those praises!

  3. Hey - welcome to "blog land" :) I have found it can get addicting! :) Glad to follow along... and stop over any time... I try to get up a post a week, but depending on my week and how I need to process, sometimes do more.

Can't wait to hear/read what you have to say!
    God bless,

  4. Thanks everyone for such a warm welcome! I've looked at both Steph's and Heather's blog and think everyone should check them out. (I also looked at them to figure out this whole blogging thing that I'm about to start.)
